Trash Services

Collection Schedule:

  • Trash: Wednesday and Saturday
  • Recycling: Effective August 1, Parkway Utility District discontinued its recycling program due to rising costs and low participation rates. After careful consideration, it was determined that continuing to provide trash collection services only is the most cost-effective option for the district at this time.

Carts:

  • Trash: 65-gallon (black with red lid)
  • If cart is damaged (cracked, missing lid or wheels) please contact support@besttrashtexas.com for a replacement at no charge.

Set Out Time: Place carts at curb by 7:00 a.m.

Trash Guidelines

  • Use the provided cart for household refuse.
  • Additional waste may be placed in containers (30–50 gallons) or bags under 40 lbs next to the cart.
  • Bag all trash when possible.

Excluded Items: Dirt, rocks, bricks, concrete, tires, batteries, oils, paints, construction debris, hazardous materials. Do not dispose of liquids in concealed containers. Non-collected items will be tagged.

Heavy Trash

  • Collected on both service days.
  • Yard waste: Tied and Bundled, max 4 ft long, 4 in diameter, 40 lbs. Limit: 3 cubic yards (5 bags or bundles).
  • Large items: Appliances, furniture, mattresses (Limit 2 per day).
  • Carpet: One room, cut <4 ft wide, tied and bundled under 40 lbs.
  • Refrigerators/freezers must be drained of Refrigerant with proof of service.

For excess refuse or bulk items, email support@besttrashtexas.com with your address and photos for pricing.

Holiday Schedule

If collection falls on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, or Christmas Day, service resumes on the next scheduled day.
