Best Trash is your dedicated trash and recycling collection service provider, offering reliable and efficient waste management for Parkway UD residents.

Collection Schedule

• Trash Collection Days: Every Wednesday and Saturday
• Recycle Collection Day: Every Saturday

Please ensure that trash and recyclables are placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection days.

Trash Collection Guidelines

• Trash Cans: Use resident-supplied trashcans between 30-50 gallons.
• Trash Bags: Refuse must be in bags not exceeding 30 gallons or 40 pounds. Place bags inside trashcans or at the curb.
• Trash Limit: Maximum of 2 trashcans, each no more than 50 gallons.
• Note: Best Trash will not empty trash from other companies’ containers.

Excluded Items

Please do not dispose of the following items:

• Dirt, sod, mulch, rocks, bricks, tile, concrete
• Tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil
• Sheetrock, insulation, construction debris
• Hazardous materials or waste from private contractors

Important: Do not place gasoline, motor oil, paints, or any liquids in non-visible containers. Best Trash is not responsible for cleaning spills from such items. A tag will be left explaining any non-collected items.

Heavy Trash Collection

Heavy Trash is collected on every scheduled collection day. The guidelines include:

• Yard Waste: Trees, shrubs, and brush trimmings must be no larger than 4 inches in diameter, no more than 4 feet long, and tied in bundles not exceeding 40 pounds.
• Large Items: Items such as appliances, furniture, and mattresses are collected, with a limit of 2 large items per collection day.
• Carpets: Up to 1 room of carpet, cut less than 4 feet wide and tied in bundles not exceeding 40 pounds, can be picked up on garbage collection days.

Federal Law Requirement: Refrigerators, freezers, and items containing Freon must be drained and accompanied by a bill verifying service.

Special Collection Service

For larger amounts of residential refuse, yard trimmings, or bulk items, Best Trash offers a special collection service. For pricing and arrangements, email your district name, address, and pictures of the items to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

Recyclable Items

Recyclables include:

• Paper (including cardboard)
• Plastics (1-5, 7)
• Aluminum and tin cans
• Glass (all colors)

Please remove caps, liquids, and food products from containers. Use the provided recycle bin exclusively for recyclables. For overflow, place items adjacent to the bin marked as recyclables. Flatten all cardboard and place it next to the recycle container.

Holiday Schedule

If a regular collection day falls on a holiday (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, or Christmas Day), collection will occur on the next scheduled day. There will be no service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

• Saturday, December 28, 2024
• Saturday, January 4, 2025

If you live on Parkway Forest Drive, Drifting Winds Drive or on surrounding streets of this area, you may affected as well.

Please note you may experience low water pressure until this is resolved. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Trash collection may not be completed today. The areas of the district that were not serviced, please leave your trash secure on the curb.

Service will resume tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 7 a.m.
